SportsDiva101: Don't Do it...it's Countdown to NFL kickoff 2010

It's inching closer to 7:30. What's the big deal? Well, many men and women across this globe are getting ready for some football. Since doggone February, really (yeah, right after the Saints were declared Super Bowl winners!). And after being teased to no satisfaction during four weeks of preseason...

It's here. The Countdown to NFL Opening Kickoff featuring the Minnesota Vikings vs New Orleans Saints at 7:30pm central. And until you get a fill of NFL 101 I need to at least hip you on how to sit tight, if you are one of many who are just not that into the game yet (which I hope not for selfish reasons) as millions of us are.

As a prelude of more to come, and since this game between the Vikings and Saints, here are three things a women should not do once the ball is kicked for the opening kickoff.

*No serious conversations. You may want to put any ideas on ice with his cold beverge (water, beer, etc).

*No cuddling. Even if you're sitting next to a significant other during the game don't go to grabbing his arm to put it around you. You may get knocked out if he's rooting for the Vikings or Saints (or if he's double-dipping because he's so hyped about it being the first NFL game of 2010). Save yourself.

*No. Don't think about asking any male around you watching football to order pizza right now and ask him to go get it when it's ready. It's gonna take too long and he might miss a big play. If that happens, you may get some sideways glance- a 'bitter beer face'. You may want to get the pizza or hope you cooked at home.

*Don't start no trouble by asking your man to bath the kids to divert his attention from the TV. That's just selfish. You should've asked him an hour earlier.

Divas, I'm just sayin. I got emails where too many fellas say they want this madness purged and I can hear them burping now as we Countdown to NFL kickoff 2010...tick...tock...
